Sweet & Smoky Boneless Short Ribs

Sweet, smoky, versatile…this dish will be the star of your table, with only a few minutes of actual work on your part. Your Slow Cooker or Instant Pot does the heavy lifting here!


Serves: 4 Cooking time: approx. 4-5 hours Active Preparation Time: approx. 20 minutes

- Place the thawed ribs, onion, carrots, celery & garlic in your slow cooker/Instapot; top with ½ jar of Fischer & Wieser glaze and enough stock or water to cover the ingredients

- Set the cooker to cook at Low for 4-5 hours (do not overcook or the meat will dry out)

- When cooking time has ended, remove the meat from the cooking liquid with tongs (it should be falling apart) and set aside. Bring the remaining cooking liquid to a boil in your Instant Pot/Slow Cooker (if it has the capability to boil, or transfer the liquid to a sauce pan and bring to a boil). Reduce cooking liquid by 1/2  or until somewhat thickened.

- Add salt & pepper to taste and fresh herbs to the sauce. Top cooked meat with the sauce & serve.
