In-person shopping is back!
We were delighted to have so many customers join us for the re-opening of our shop in Narberth for onsite shopping last Saturday, and particularly excited that so many of you arrived with bags & containers in hand!
For those who didn’t have the opportunity to shop at the Pinwheel store pre-pandemic, a key part of our concept is trying to reduce the amount of food and packaging waste we generate. In support of this mission we:
1) focus on high quality farm-frozen products (locally produced, wherever possible), which maintain their at-freezing nutrients for up to 1 year and are not subject to spoilage; and
2) encourage customers to bring their own freezer bags & containers for our bulk frozen goods (washed & prepped veggies & fruits and individual items like gratins, biscuits, mini-quiches, etc.). We are happy to be able to re-introduce the option for BYOC (Bring Your Own Containers) at our shop on Saturdays going forward!
Keeping an assortment of our flash-frozen produce in your freezer will make it so much easier to introduce vegetables and fruits into your meals, with no forethought or prep required. For example, toss a handful of our Broccoli Florets straight from the freezer into a pasta dish; combine our Butternut Squash Chunks with broth and seasonings for an ultra-quick & easy butternut squash soup; or combine our Grilled Mediterranean Veggies with your favorite protein for a nutrient-rich stir fry full of flavors and textures.
Give it a try on Saturdays from 10am-4pm at 121 N. Narberth Ave; we look forward to seeing you! Please note that we require that customers wear masks in the shop and we follow all recommended safety & social distancing practices.
