Pinwheel Provisions recognized the ongoing challenge of putting together meals that meet our needs and objectives day after day: takeout is expensive and usually not healthy. Grocery store prepared meals are usually a pricey let-down: mass produced with out of season ingredients, or just not as good as it appeared. We’ve sampled all of the meal delivery programs: so much waste, minimal flexibility, and budget breaking, not to mention the small portions.
So we came up with a new approach to meal preparation that enables you to put together meals that work for you and anyone else you are feeding, with little fuss and stress. And these are meals that taste really, really great!
Fresh Frozens
Scoop-your-own frozen vegetables, fruits, meats/fish/poultry and other assorted items. Our frozen fruit and vegetables are already cleaned, trimmed and ready for use, so your prep time in mealmaking is dramatically reduced. Select just the products you want in the quantities and combinations you need. These can serve as the main components of a meal, or can be added as enhancements to soups, stews, casseroles, and slow-cooked dishes. Since you can purchase as much or as little as you want of the items you choose, there is no food waste or spoilage. These will also keep in optimal condition in your freezer for up to 6 months.

A selection of highly versatile and tasty sauces, marinades, spice blends and bases to help convert your frozen (and fresh) ingredients into meals quickly and effortlessly, along with a selection of dry goods (pasta, grains, beans) to round out the menu. Ready Dishes
Chef-created prepared frozen main and side dishes and desserts featuring wholesome and fresh ingredients and zero preservatives or additives, which can be quickly heated and served, a fantastic option for times when you need a delicious dish ASAP, or when you just need a quick accompaniment to your own creation.

And don’t overlook the environmental benefits of the Pinwheel approach (link to Being Good to our Environment section of landing page): our self-serve products produce little to no packaging waste as you can use our reusable, recyclable bags for your produce or bring your own container to fill (and receive a discount!), to reduce the proliferation of single-use plastic. And you are unlikely to have to throw away unused Pinwheel products- most frozen products will remain in optimal condition for minimum of 6 months from your purchase time!
